Founders Story
In 2003, Mack Ross established a small consultancy, Basic Employment Success Training, LLC, (B.E.S.T.) to provide staff development training and technical assistance for community-based, government agencies, and small businesses. In 2016, the consultancy reorganized as Mack Ross & Associates (sole proprietor) and reorganized again in 2020 as Workforce Solution Pros, LLC.
Throughout his 30+ year career, Mr. Ross has contributed to the development of thousands of employment and training opportunities for low-income youth and adults and has contributed to generating over $200 million in contracting opportunities for small businesses.
In addition to non-profit work, Mr. Ross has over seven-years of experience as an Executive Recruiter. At a leading search firm in Oakland, CA, he served as the Engineering &; Technical Division Manager, directing national and international searches for VP of Engineering, PhD Scientists, Engineering Directors, Program Managers, Project Engineers, and Technicians. Fields of specialty included telecommunications, IT, biomedical / biotech, and automated equipment Manufacturing.
In 2018 Mack Ross was introduced to Al Wilson who also had a strong background in business development, operations, and employment training. Mr. Wilson has decades of workforce development and business development experience gained from starting and managing several successful businesses and training hundreds of youths and adults for a variety of construction and non-construction jobs.
Mr. Wilson founded “Al & Associates Property Management Services” (AAPMS) to provide building maintenance services and property management services in the public and private sectors.
AAPMS employed workers with a range of skill sets, including electricians, plumbers, carpenters, janitors, and carpenters, as well as salespersons, bookkeepers, etc.
The company grew to over 300 employees, generated millions of dollars in annual revenue, and provided services to the US Federal Aviation Administration in Los Angeles and Palmdale, California and with the US Air Force at Norton Air Force Base and with the US Navy at Point Magu.
Realizing they both shared a passion for training and mentoring youth, individuals, and small businesses, they combined their knowledge and resources and formed Workforce Solution Pros.
